20 months.

The past few months, I decided I didn't really need to make a monthly update on what Matthew was doing since he is really all I write about every post anyway. But this month, I decided that I'd write a little about him since the next time we'll be writing things about a "20" milestone, he'll be on a mission. So, with only four months left until he turns 2, Matthew:

  • Wears size 6 shoe, size 4 diapers and is in about 18-24 month clothing
  • Is 25 lbs and in the 25-50 percentile for his weight, 75 for his big head and 50 for height
  • Says "What's that?" a hundred times a day
  • Still does not like nursery. Sometimes I wonder how it is for people who live in the same ward since their children are born. I wonder how their kids like nursery. Matthew has moved four times since he was born!
  • Ammon does this beat thing and Matthew will climb up on the couch and jump the whole time he does it. I can't explain it but I hope I can get a video up on here.
  • Absolutely LOVES applesauce and would eat it five times a day. He loves that, chicken strips and yogurt. I hope he doesn't stop liking those things anytime soon.
  • Likes to give kisses to Reese and to run around with Gavin.
  • Still loves his mommy more than anyone and will always choose me over anyone else, no matter if I just scolded him or not.
  • Sleeps 12 hours at night, a two hour nap in the morning and about an hour and a half nap in the afternoon. I can't express how grateful I am for this little boy's sleeping habits! I would take the first few months all over again on the next baby if they sleep as well as Matthew has (I was reading in an email I wrote my little brother on July 30, 2008 [Matthew was SIX weeks old] and I told him that Matthew had slept SEVEN hours the night before! He has always been such a good sleeper).
  • LOVES being back in Vegas with his grandpa and grandma and of course with Brooklyn. He loves to go outside and wander around and to chase Brooklyn's ball.
  • Has developed quite the attitude and has a higher pitch in his little voice than any girl I've ever known.
  • Likes the letters A and E and can tell you what they sound like. The other day when my mom was watching him, he was playing with his blocks and she told him to go and get the L block. He did. Then, he brought the A, the U, the R and the B. I didn't even know he knew the letters.
  • Is so good at reading scriptures with us and will literally drop everything when we tell him it's scripture time. He also loves the word nap and bed and will drop whatever he is doing when we tell him it's time for bed. He loves his bed.
  • Folds his arms whenever he is hungry, see the microwave, sees food, smells food, sees someone that brings food, someone who cooks food...you name it. My dad took him to the store the other day and he said that he folded his arms thirty times while there because he wanted to eat so much.
His little suit my mom and dad got him equipped with his missionary tag Elder Rasband liked so much

Loves to wear Dad's hats

Eating a poptart and smiling for the camera. He thinks it's so funny.

You're a good mom, Chels... And, Kenley says 'Wazzis?' (What's this?) about 100 times a day... I'm sure they'll have some fun with that in a few weeks when they can play together!
