Ammon came to take us back

About a week ago, Ammon called to tell me that it was mandatory that he take three days off during this cycle. We had a great idea that he would come to Vegas and then we could all fly back together. Well, the day before he was supposed to come, he called and said they were no longer allowing him those days off. Needless to say, we lost our money on his plane ticket there and I stayed another week. He decided he would try it again the next week. HE WAS ACTUALLY ABLE TO COME! I was so excited to get him to come to Vegas, but he must've been way happier to get out of army life. He came Tuesday and Ammon and I were actually able to have some alone time and a date night for the first time since April! Not that we don't love Matthew, but it has been the three of us nonstop since we got to Kentucky. We were able to see a movie, go to dinner, swim and Ammon was able to do his most favorite thing, sleep. Brooklyn was so excited to see him and it was hard to leave her the day we left. It won't be long before I see my family again, but it was nice having everyone together.

We got back and Matthew has had a heck of a time adjusting to the three hour time difference again. Both of his top teeth have cut through now and even though we don't see Ammon hardly at all, it is nice to be home. I was gone five and a half weeks! We finally went to our ward and one of the sweetest things I have seen in a long time happened. I was feeding Matthew his little puffs and there was this little boy sitting in the row ahead of us. Matthew looked at me, picked up the puff and put it in his hand. He then looked back at me, smiled and continued eating. It was so sweet, regardless of how he acted the rest of church! It amazes me at what he learns everyday. He is getting so smart and I am so excited to see how he progresses.
