Even though it seems like I just posted about Matthew being one-year-old, here I am again posting about him being 13 months already! It seems like he changed a lot in just a month and I can't believe how observant he is.
- stares at everything and touches anything he can get his hands on
- says "wow" every two seconds
- crawls like he's in the army and goes 90 miles an hour when he's getting into something he knows he shouldn't or when he's being chased
- pulls himself onto everything and stands for a second on his own
- once he's pulled himself up, he doesn't know how to get back down so he cries until we help him down
- eats everything and anything that is put in front of him.
- loves cheese, bread, yogurt, fish, chicken, popsicles, ice cream...the list goes on. He's his father's son that's for sure
- has become quite the master at throwing fits when he doesn't get his way
- two bottom teeth and one top one that just came down
- continues to be a GREAT sleeper. He sleeps about twelve hours at night and takes two naps during the day
- fascinated with remote controls, cell phones, calculators, cameras, keyboards...like every baby I guess
- doesn't even care when Brooklyn licks him all over
- gets annoyed rather quickly (whether that is with me, my mom's kisses or his cousins always in his face)
- loves books and always wants to turn the pages (especially the hymn books)
- still continues to love his Your Baby Can Read movies
- crosses his feet for everything...eating, sleeping, playing, driving...
- he won't go to someone, other than me, if they're sitting down.
- still loves his binky and usually puts it in upside down
- LAUGHS SO MUCH! He has the cutest little laugh and I can really get him going
- so ticklish everywhere but especially the back of his legs and his neck
- absolutely adores little boys. We were in Walmart and he just smiled and smiled at this little six-year-old who was talking to him
- adores big boys! He just stares at the deacons every week and won't take his eyes off of them when they walk by with the sacrament
- size 3 diapers
- 12 month clothes
- size 4-5 shoe
There are many things I'm sure I have forgotten because he does something new everyday that just amazes me. He truly is a blessing. I think Heavenly Father makes us forget how horrible it was being pregnant and how tired we were when they first come so that we'll have more. Even when I try to think about how miserable I thought I was, I just look at Matthew and know it all was so worth it. He is my best little bud and I know that there is not one other soul on the face of the planet who loves me like he does. He lights up when he sees me and will always come to me even if I just lost my patience with him seconds before. He teaches me how to be a better person. I am so lucky that he is healthy and safe and so lucky that I have such a good little boy. We love him so much.
