Things I love about Ammon...

Since Ammon started training, there are so many things that I've seen come out of him even though I rarely get to spend time with him. I have seen so many great qualities that I never really knew were there. Like:

  • He is the hardest worker I know
  • Puts others before himself, especially the privates.
  • Makes up for other peoples' mistakes and picks up their slack.
  • Comes home after working 18 hours and still stays up so he can spend time with Matthew and me.
  • Even if he's falling asleep, he still reads the scriptures and prays with us every night.
  • Has become more humble and respectful.
  • Gotten quite loud without knowing it over the past few weeks!
  • Everyone tells me that he is a push-over, but I know that it really means he is the only one who cares.
  • Really loves his country and is willing to give up anything .
  • Obedient (he gets a haircut because he's told, even when I say I don't like it that short).
  • Is such an example to the other drill sergeants that because of him, one of his best friends is getting baptized and two other people in his company have gotten a Book of Mormon from the Elders.
  • Listens better to me and tries to make peace when I am the one at fault.
  • Never swears when everyone else does constantly.
  • He rarely thinks of himself, which is probably why he has lost 15 pounds since starting this cycle because he won't eat if there are other things to do.
  • Loves Matthew and me and is so willing to provide for our family that he won't think of anything else!

He is a great husband and we are very lucky that we are able to be here with him and get to spend the little bit of time we can together. I'm sure these traits have been there all along but these things have really shown me what a lucky girl I am that I got to marry someone so much better than I am!

(Again, that was yesterday... and I'm learning about blogging today.) I have (had) pictures of Ammon in the tub that were almost identical to Matthew's! De ja vous, baby. Look forward to seeing all of you (yawl) soon. Get some sleep, Ammon, you look tired!!!!
