Reese turns 1

It was perfect. We were coming home right before Reesey's first birthday. I was so excited that I could be in town for that. So, on Monday night, the 8th, Sloan came over late after the kids went to bed and we worked on her cupcakes. It was a lot of fun because we worked with more fondant. We also watched the Bachelor until about 2 am. We were so tired the next day, but it was worth it to make cute cupcakes for Reesey.Tuesday night was so funny. My mom had an appointment, Ammon had to work (doing private security), I had to go early to help Sloan and my dad stayed behind at home with Matthew. We took out four cars that night to our various places, but met up with three cars at the same place. I think it is so good that Matthew gets to be around other people besides just me and Ammon. And I love that I can say, "Dad, Matthew's sleeping. His shoes and shirt are on the counter. When he wakes up, will you bring him?" I LOVE THAT!!! You have no idea. And I think my dad loves having grandsons. He loves Matthew and Matthew loves him. Not to mention Gavin. I think that is the coolest thing. Anyway, Tuesday night came and since Reese's birthday party was at McDonald's, it was funny to see all the people there that weren't part of the party. Everyone left though and Sloan did such a good job to get everything together.

Having it at McDonald's when you are planning on having fifteen kids is perfect! Plus, it's cheap and SO informal so you don't have to worry about what to wear, a mess or your kids screaming (which Matthew does VERY well lately).

She looked so cute

All the kids loved the cupcakes, Matthew included. Gavin had about thirteen that night.

Matthew's favorite thing right now is to give EVERYONE high 5. He goes to EVERYONE, especially kids and babies and puts his hand up to give 5. He loves to give Gavie 5 and even small babies who can barely lift their heads. He had a blast that night giving all the kids 5 and it was rare to see him without his hand up in the air!

Matthew handing our present to Reese. He loves to help.

Her favorite thing right now is dolls and so even though we got her one for Christmas, we got her another one (she actually picked it out!) She LOVES them and it is SO cute to hear her say it because she loves the letter D! She says it all the time.

With my favorite little boys in the whole wide world! I LOVE Gavin! He is so smart and so sweet and such a good big cousin and big brother. I hope he and Matthew are friends forever!

It was a fun night and I am so glad I was here for it! Sloan is such a good Mom and I look up to her for so many things! I don't know where I'd be without her and my mom! They really are my best friends!

Oh and cute story about Gavin that night. He wanted to spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house so he drove with Grandpa in his Mercedes and on the way, he says, "Grandpa, I think we need to go to Walmart and look at some Thomas stuff." So, my dad took him to Walmart and bought him some Thomas toys. Then, he gets in the car and he says, "Grandpa, I think we need to go get us some ice cream." He is HILARIOUS and he definitely knows how to work the system!
