Best Rush of 2009.
What exactly is a "rush?" Excited? Nervous? Butterflies? Well, I'm boring. I'm a mom now. Without babysitters. Without a car a lot of the times. So a rush for 2009 was hard to remember. I got pulled over last February because I ran a yellow light on Nellis and Charleston. I had Matthew and Brooklyn in the car with me and the jerk flashed his lights when I was in the very left-hand lane with two other lanes of traffic to the right of me. I decided I'd "pull over" to my left into the shopping center. Big mistake. He flat out told me he knew it was a yellow light and that he'd already given out ten other tickets exactly like mine. Then, he gave me another ticket because I wasn't following "his" rules (that is what he called them) by yielding to "his" emergency vehicle. He then questioned my Utah driver license, told me I should be more careful if I have a baby in the car...the guy was a serious jerk. I got a rush that night because I really did want to punch him in the face as I drove off.
Second Place: Matthew's first time flying on an airplane, May 2nd
Honorable Mention: When we actually got Ammon's orders to go active duty for 365 days in Fort Knox, KY. That was a little surreal last January.
