June in Vegas!

I can't believe how fast June flew by. I had many things on my to-do list for while I was in Vegas. Other than seeing Brooklyn and my family, I think I was looking forward to going to the temple the most. I never realized how much I didn't take advantage of it being so close until I really couldn't go. It has been SO WONDERFUL getting to go once a week! I am so so so grateful that my mom and dad have been there to watch the bud. Even though the Louisville temple is an hour from post, we would have a heck of a time finding a babysitter for four hours, especially with Ammon's crazy schedule. Other than the temple though, we have done so many fun things in the heat. Matthew's haircut. He needed one so badly. His hair grows like weeds. He'll need another one soon!
Brooklyn swimming. She'll do it until she's dead I swear. She never stops.

He loves the water so so so much!

Mrs. Nevada America 1st runner-up right here! I can't believe she didn't win. She is probably the most gorgeous person I know. She didn't tell us about the pageant so I think it served her right not winning! ha ha.

Gavin is so funny in the pool. He'd be just fine with throwing rocks in than getting in the water!

I was so white when I first got there. It didn't take long to get a little bit of a tan though!

Waiting for someone to throw the ball. That's what she lives for. Ball, Swim, Cheese. Her three-track frame of mind.

Matthew had to go to the doctor while we were here. We have a great doctor who has a great memory. He always says that we are the "normal" part of the family (Sloan goes to him too). I'm sure he says the same to her though when she goes in. He got four shots that day.
At one year, he was:
20 lbs. 14 oz (10th percentile)
33 inches long (50th percentile)
and his head was in the 75th percentile!

At my cousin Shane's wedding

It was about 120° that day. I swear.

My favorite nephew in the whole world. I sure hope that Shaun or Sloan don't have any other boys because I don't think I'll love them as much as I love Gavie.

They somewhat matched. Their shoes were the best part and you can't see them. I can't wait until they're a little bit older and so they can be rascals together!

We had a lot of family come into town when Shane got married and Erin and Kenley got to stay with my mom and dad and us for a week! It was fun to finally get to see Kenley and Myla (my cousin's baby). We have five kids all under 16 months! They will have a lot of fun when they grow up. Matthew and Gavin are the only boys though. We were able to go to Bellagio, the Fashion Show mall, the Wynn and Encore (to see Ammon's old work as blah as we thought it was then!), and shop a whole bunch while we had company.

Angel Reese. Always so good and always smiley for me. I love her!

Matthew was sick for about a week and a half of the last part of June. He had roseola...and I can't even explain what a relief it was when he finally got over it. He was so clingy that he didn't even want my mom or dad (weird for him because he will always go to them). He cried all the time and this was one of those days. Gavin is so sweet. He was trying to cheer him up.

This was the four of us at Bellagio. Sloan doesn't have a really god double stroller for the kids yet so it always seems to be my mom who ends up pushing Gavin in the Mexican stroller! We aren't sure why Sloan always lucks out and pushes the BabyTrend!
