I really remember pretty much every detail about Gavin being born. He was really one of the cutest newborns I'd ever seen. I really can't believe that it was three years ago. Sloan had a great party for all of our family and the Hadfields. Since it was at the park, all the kids got to play outside and the weather was just great. September is a good time for birthdays when you're a kid because you can have so many options outside. Everyone was there except for Ammon (working) and GG (even we missed her!) and it was a lot of fun seeing everyone and getting to see Gavin's face when he opened all his presents. AND, since he's obsessed with Thomas the Train, Ammon, Matthew and I got him a new Wooden Railway Percy (there is a difference in the different trains, thanks for teaching me that Gav!) and a Thomas toothbrush that played the song and a whole bunch of other Thomas goodies all wrapped in Thomas wrapping paper. I have to say I thought it was cooler than Gavin ever would appreciate! The party was fun, the food was good and the cakes looked great. Sloan came over the day before and we made his cake. I still love doing cakes.
I got to [handcut] all the letters and stars. You would think that I would get a life and not do that since they have cookie cutters for that type of thing. But, I actually really really enjoy doing that. The cake turned out really good though I thought.
Sloan made these with some great frosting. Rings were on top.
