Cousins

The first part of November found us spending a lot of family time together. It was nice for a change and even better for us because we didn't have to drive to Green Valley all the time. Sloan was able to come over to us most of the time. And we even got to see Shaun and Amelia. One day, the rest of the family was inside while all the children were playing in the wonderful fall weather (a very chilly 75°). The next day, I noticed Matthew could not find his trash truck anywhere. He is very protective of that, but I figured we'd just misplaced it. When Ammon went to throw to Brooklyn a few days after that and couldn't find his lacrosse stick, we thought we'd simply misplaced it too. After I noticed a few more random toys days later, I decided they had to have gone somewhere. Finally on afternoon, Matthew told me that "Gavin threw toys." I didn't know what he was talking about until he went over and stood on the rock in the backyard. I looked over and found this:
I couldn't stop laughing; it was a much-needed break from the that particularly stressful day.
Matthew, Gavin and Reese at the mall. Matthew loves to go to the mall, eat corn dogs, go on the slide and see the ice cream truck. This day was better because Gavie and Reesey got to come along.
Matthew and Amelia. He always plays so well with her. I love that they get along so well. I hope it'll be like this forever and that he'll always stick up for her years down the road.
With Reesey. Only eight months separate them and you can tell by the way they get along. He's always always loved her.
One day, with the trash men knowing of their little fan living across the street from the church, they decided to park their trash truck there until they could get it fixed; another one came for backup. I couldn't resist but to take Matthew, Gavin and Reese out to see it. They'd been waiting for it all day, thanks to Matthew, and he couldn't wait to put on his "costume." Matthew actually really loves Chris and Shaun. It sure helps when he acts like he's interested in what he is.
Gav and Matthew rolling down the grass! Matthew follows everything Gavin does. He better remember that in fifteen years when Matthew still will look up to him!
Staring inside. He was so sad when he needed to go inside.
