Charlie Brown "kills" himself

A big thing this October was Matthew's obsession with Charlie Brown. You have to understand that he does not like TV. He likes Buzz. And Woody. And sometimes Your Baby Can Read. So when we showed him It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and he liked it, it was weird. He wanted to watch it over and over and over again. Then, he started to go around and say "I kill myself." When I first heard him say it, it took me a minute to understand. I wasn't sure where he'd heard it. Then it finally clicked. Charlie Brown says "you want me to fall on my head and kill myself." They said kill about nine times that episode and after Matthew saying that about three or four times in public, I finally had to kick that habit to the curb. I told him it was a bad word. In fact, a few weeks after he realized it was "bad," I first put a half-pea-sized taste of kitchen soap on my finger and brushed in on his tongue. It wasn't long, and only one more soap fiasco, until he finally realized that he wasn't allowed to say it. I just really didn't want him going to nursery and telling Sister Casutt "I kill myself."

My daughter Carianne did the SAME thing! I wonder what the writers of the show were on when they wrote it! It was a great idea to let Cari watch shows from when I was little.. but some of the verbage stinks!
