24th of July

We, as Fairytale Wishes, were fortunate enough to be a part of the 24th day of July parade in Henderson. Sloan asked me to be in the float with her and Tabby and Chris drove us in Tyson's truck. My mom, Regina and Autumn sat with Matthew, Reese and Gavin on blankets to watch the parade. They had little pioneers with handcarts and a lot of other floats with great things for the families. They had breakfast and games like water balloons and volleyball and I wish that Ammon would have been able to be there so we could've stayed and had a fun family day. The little girls especially, love seeing Snow White, Cinderella and Ariel. It was so fun throwing candy to the kids and we got to see a bunch of people we knew from over there.

I really like Green Valley. We loved living there for the few months we got to last year before we left for Kentucky. I hope that one day I'll be able to live in a place that is that pretty and that has so many things so close to EVERYTHING! The best part about it was that I was so close to Sloan. I got to see her everyday when I lived over there. Now, I see her and the kids three days a week and I'm so glad I get that considering I lived far away for so long.

I really thought that day as we were driving home how fortunate we are that we are born now. I know you hear all the time how people "are saved for our day" but I don't know if I believe all that. I think they were much stronger than I ever could be. They had to deal with death and weather and moving WAYYYY more than I ever have and ever will. Plus, their husbands went on missions and joined the Mormon Batallion and left them with five kids, half sick. When I was in Nauvoo, Brother Ed [Pinegar] talked to us about his favorite word, REMEMBER. He told us how important it was to remember those that came before us and that is a perfect time to do so on the 24th of July!

That night, since Ammon works a double shift every single Friday and Saturday, I went with my mom and dad to the North Stake's 24th of July Celebration and I always think they do such a good job. I do have to say that they put on the more fabulous fireworks displays ever. I think only Disneyland can do a better job, and I'm sure that is only because everything seems more magical at Disneyland! Matthew had a lot of fun watching them and we got to see Full Scale sing (Shaun's group. Chris was in it with him too) the National anthem again. What a great day we had with our families!

The kids waiting for their moms to pass. These children will never believe in princesses because they'll always know them as their moms!

We all made one sign. I think they turned out pretty good!

We love Fe since all our husbands were, of course, working.

Autumn and Gina came too!

That night at the North Stake's Celebration. Matthew loved the jump houses.

Watching Full Scale perform.

Great fireworks!
