So. I remember when I was younger and I would watch moms with their babies in church and would remember them sleeping most of the time on their parents' laps and shoulders. Then Matthew turned about 3 months old and hasn't slept in church since. Oh he was fine and content as long as someone was holding him, but now, hold him? YEAH RIGHT. He won't sit still to save his life and unless he is eating something or you are literally holding him down and threatening him with his life in his ear as he laughs at you, he is either climbing on the pews, walking across the pews, going under the pews, tearing hymn books, searching for the sacrament, throwing his books, arching his back because he doesn't want to sit or screaming as we're walking out of the chapel with him. Not to mention, our church is at 11, we have a half hour's drive to the church, so by the time sacrament is starting, he is wanting lunch and it is past his naptime. You can imagine how primary is during the 3rd hour of church. What a nightmare! I was at church alone today because of Ammon's work schedule and I just had to write about my experience. If this was only this week, it wouldn't be bad. But, this is EVERY week and I can't wait until next month! NURSERY here we come!
P.S. He looks so cute when we leave the house every Sunday. By the time sacrament is over and we are done wrestling, he looks like a poor homeless kid that needs a haircut and who needs new clean clothes!
