15 months!

Last September, I remember what an angel my little boy was. Now, as you see in the second picture, this is his outlook on everything. Go, go, go, bang, bang, bang. He's 15 months and here's what he's [not] doing now:

  • Almost 22 lbs.
  • 31 inches
  • size 3 diapers
  • 4-5 shoe
  • still in 12 month clothes (I buy 18 month clothes hoping he'll fit but I end up just rolling up the pants and letting him drown in his shirts)
  • 4 teeth (two top, two bottom)
  • is still scared to death to walk on his own. He will walk as long as we are holding both his hands. I got an email today and it said 90 percent of toddlers his age are walking. Hmmm...I think he is going to be crawling right on into his kindergarten class
  • for a toddler who only crawls, he is everywhere in about two seconds. I forgot to block off the stairs and was in the bathroom less than 30 seconds, and he was already up both flights and in his room playing with his toys upstairs
  • his obsession is his drum and plays with his drumsticks 24/7
  • if he doesn't have his drumsticks, he makes whatever he can into drumsticks. He'll pick up two pens, spoons, two bats...you name it (he even hold them the right way and everything. I have no idea where he learned this)
  • follows me everywhere
  • gives great open mouth kisses when I ask him
  • gives five
  • loves to look at himself in mirrors, in stoves, dishwashers...
  • when he gets in trouble, and I tell him no, he just smiles and knows that he will make me laugh
  • shakes his head all the time and says no even though he has no clue what that means
  • eats pretty much everything and when he's hungry, he's hungry NOW and if he's full, don't try to shove anything else in, or it ends up all over the front of him
  • says OH NO and loves any word that starts with the letter W
  • loves to say he is one and puts up his first finger
  • points at everything and actually grasps when I am pointing at something
  • fascinated with the pictures we have of Brooklyn and points at her anytime we talk about her or say her name
  • continues to be a great sleeper. Takes two naps during the day and sleeps about 12 hours at night
  • loves Ammon and gets so excited when he comes home
  • is the happiest little boy when he wakes up in the morning and I come into his room to get him
  • still loves the sacrament and loves all little kids
  • likes playing with any ball and throws it around the house then chases after it (crawling of course)
  • is actually becoming rather reverent when we read the scriptures and say our prayers every night
  • is starting to fold his arms
  • is becoming quite obedient. If he gets something he knows he shouldn't have (a bobby pin on the bathroom floor, he finds scraps under the table, pulls papers off the table, or grabs leaves from the decorations), and I say his name, he immediately gives it to me and doesn't even throw a fit after I take it
  • still loves his binky and he treasures when he gets it at bedtime and in the car
  • still loves cheese and chocolate milk
  • loves to be chased, especially up the stairs. He loves climbing the stairs and almost goes as fast as I do
  • bangs everything, including the TV, windows, washer, dryer, door, car window, his crib, the mirror, the fridge, the wall...everything.
  • has great rhythm (bangs evenly and on beat)
  • dances whenever he hears any music at all
  • LOVES to read books and loves hearing the ABCs. His favorite letter right now is Z
  • loves helping me put things away (putting his toys back in his drum, my makeup back in the case, the books back in their place)
  • continues to be the biggest pill in church. I can't wait for another three months...even though he probably won't be walking in nursery! HAHA

Matthew is my favorite little bud in the whole world. He does something new everyday and there are most days that I just watch him and laugh and laugh. He cracks me up. I know when he does start walking, he will be that much bigger of a riot.

Nursery...Lana goes officaly on Sunday. We have been taking her in there the last hour every Sunday for the past 2 months (she is just to darn wiggly). Mark stays with her of course since she technically hasnt been old enough. Its ok that he doesnt walk. I bet you instead od walking he will just start running. Goodluck with that :)

Chelsea, don't worry that he's not walking. Be thankful! jk. :) I just can't believe these kids are getting so old! It makes me so sad. Preston's 1st week of nursery is the 1st Sunday of November, and I'm not going to lie as excited as I am, I am also sad. I guess it's just time for another one! :)
