Our little Kentucky start.

Here was the progress of our road trip. It was long, but not too bad. We had fun even if we stopped thirty five thousand times. After all, we were travelling with ALL men and they either have the smallest bladders or biggest stomachs they need to constantly fill. I think we got something to eat every stop. When we were in Oklahoma, Ammon just had to take a picture next to the storm chaser. The sticker on the back really did say DO NOT FOLLOW IN ADVERSE WEATHER. It was pretty cool and reminded us of Twister...of course. We were thrilled to finally reach Fort Knox though. It took us about three days. We left Friday and got there Sunday.

Here is our house and yard. Kentucky is totally different than anything I have ever lived in because it is so green. There are thousands of trees everywhere and even if we do live in the ghetto of the base, we think the houses are pretty cute. They have three bedrooms and the washer and dryer are in the kitchen, but we got everything brand new and even get free cable and internet.

A few days after we got settled and after I had flown back to Vegas to pick up Matthew, we decided to head to the temple.

So here is the Louisville, Kentucky temple. We decided to go one day and got lost about four times on our way. Since we aren't exactly in Louisville and the neither is the temple, we had a heck of a time finding it. We even tried calling them to get directions but you need an appointment to go through so needless to say, they were closed that Saturday. We almost passed by it because it was so small. It is as big as the church next to it...and they even share a parking lot. It is pretty though. It really made me realize that we can have the exact same ordinances performed in such a little place in the middle of no where and surrounded by trees as you can in a huge Salt Lake temple in the middle of the city. I love the temple. I am so grateful we have one close by. I can't wait to go through!
