May 14th and 15th marked Ammon and Matthew's first Father and Son's outing. I surprisingly wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be. Ammon was excited to get to take Matthew on a little trip and it was even better that my dad and Chris got to go with them. I packed up a few things for them and I heard that Matthew had such a fun time. I had heard some nightmares about little one-year-olds going on these things, but Matthew did really well. He ate well, played well, realized he could climb rocks, stripped his clothes and loved running naked (and taking the pictures), and he even slept well. The craziest thing was that he came home the next morning and he fell asleep at 10 am for a nap and slept until 3 pm. The trip must've been exhausting for him to take a five hour nap. I was glad that they got to go and have a fun time.
While they were gone, Sloan and Gina just happened to have their husbands gone on Father and Son's as well, so we got to have a girls' night. We went to Cici's and got some frozen yogurt and got to hang out late. I literally did not go to bed until 5 am because I knew that Matthew would not be up for me to take care of the next morning. It was a fun weekend for us!
